About Janet Miller A lifelong Kansan and 21-year resident of District 6, Janet Miller is involved in community activities full time as a volunteer, currently serving on the board of Historic Midtown Citizens Association, the District 6 Advisory Board, and as president of the Wichita Board of Park Commissioners. She is an ardent advocate for the 21st Street Revitalization Initiative, safe neighborhoods, and a robust downtown. |
A graduate of Kansas State University, Janet began her career as a middle school teacher and places a high value on continuing education, including her own. Janet completed Wichita Citizens Academy to deepen her already broad knowledge of local government and has taken language classes at Wichita State University to help her communicate with the growing number of Spanish-speaking residents and business owners in District 6.
Janet and her husband of 18 years, Nile Dillmore, live in a 1920s bungalow in Historic Midtown. Known as “Aunt Jan” to six nieces and a nephew, Janet cherishes her role as favorite aunt and mentor. |
